Women's Indian Clothing in Australia

This is the whole women's range in one place: sarees, suits, lehengas and everything that goes with them. We stock authentic Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi ethnic wear for South Asian families across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. Everything is priced in AUD and ships free within Australia, so there is no overseas wait and no currency surprise at checkout.

Where to Start

If you have an event coming up, work backwards from it. Weddings and receptions point you to lehenga choli or wedding sarees. Eid, Diwali and puja evenings suit an anarkali or a sharara set. For work, prayers and normal days, Punjabi and Pakistani suits, palazzo suits and cotton sarees are the easy picks. If you are new to any of these styles, this overview of traditional clothing in India explains how the main garments differ by region.

Stitched, Unstitched and Ready to Wear

Stitched pieces arrive finished and you can wear them straight away. Unstitched sets come as fabric, cost less, and let your tailor fit them exactly. If draping is the part you dread, ready to wear sarees are pre-pleated and take about two minutes. Each product page says which one you are buying.

Getting the Size Right

Indian sizing does not match Australian sizing, and blouse sizing runs tighter again. Measure your bust, waist and hips with a tape and compare them to the size guide before you order. Between two sizes, take the larger one. Letting a seam out is far easier than taking it in.

Finish the Look

Add a stitched blouse, a kundan set or jhumkas from our Indian jewellery range, and a shawl for cooler months. Dressing the family for the same event? See men's Indian wear and kids ethnic wear. New stock lands most weeks in new arrivals, and reduced pieces sit in the women's sale. See shipping and delivery times if you are shopping close to a date.
