Diwali Yellow Paisley Kani Silk Suit – Jamawar Weave & Kani Dupatta

Paisleys everywhere, in all the right places. This yellow paisley kani suit has tiny paisleys and flowering vines woven over the whole kurta, then a bold row of tall red, green and blue paisleys at the hem. It is handwoven in pure kani silk, so the pattern is part of the cloth, not printed on.

Take a closer look

The kurta is a long, straight cut in golden yellow. The front is covered in small pink, blue and green paisleys, like an old Kashmiri shawl. The full sleeves are plain yellow silk with a thin paisley cuff, which keeps the look balanced.

The dupatta is mostly plain yellow silk, with a long woven paisley panel down the middle and wide red and pink paisley borders on every side. Both ends finish with the same tall paisley band as the kurta hem, so the set looks made for each other.

The palazzo is plain yellow and wide, so it is easy to move in and lets the weaving take centre stage.

Caring for kani silk

Dry clean only. Store it folded in a soft cotton bag, away from direct sun and damp. Tiny changes in the weave are normal in handwoven silk and show it was made by hand.
